Christopher Timothy

Christopher Timothy is a photographer, videographer, and geo-visualist based in Northern Virginia, working across the Piedmont and Blue Ridge.

He documents how landscapes change through fire, erosion, restoration, and time. That has meant chasing a total eclipse up a snow-covered Vermont mountain, flying drone surveys of cliffside erosion threatening a 5,600 year old temple in Malta, and, most days now, planting riparian buffers along Culpeper streams and tending meadows in Upperville.

He holds a B.S. in Geography from James Madison University and an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, and has worked with The Nature Conservancy, the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust, Friends of the Rappahannock, and the Oak Spring Garden Foundation. His work has appeared in TAMRON Magazine, JMU's Geogazine, and The Breeze, and he serves as an EDU Mentor for Tamron Americas.
